Is anyone else annoyed when people rate a product poorly because of shipping issues? Geez folks, rate the item, not the shipping problems!
Alright, I bought this with a few other lanterns, and I love it! Good construction, great little size (not too tall as a centerpiece, not so small it gets swallowed up by other decor). The glass is a gorgeous light-amber color, the metal is a respectable matte black. There is no dedicated candle holder inside, allowing flexibility for candle sizes. A pillar candle might be a bit too large, though.
I did have to adjust the interior holders to stop the glass from rattling, which was a simple, gentle push. I would think having them too tight during shipping might crack the glass. I appreciate it having the three little legs attached, making it a versatile table-top, or hanging decoration.
I'm thinking of buying a couple more of these, I like it so much! Just wish it came in more colors.

I bought two of these lanterns recently on Ebay. I paid almost twice as much for them there. They're the very same thing in a yellow glass. Even though I paid more for them there, I still feel they were well worth it. These lanterns are much more thick and solid than you would imagine for the price being asked for them here on Amazon. The metal is nicely polished and the glass is thick and handsomely etched. Also, they come in a variety of colors including red, blue, and green depending on your decor and pleasure. Also, at 5" wide and 10" tall they are a nice size to be noticed without being considered gaudy. A tea lite slips inside a little door in the back nicely, and they look very pretty and comforting when glowing in the color of your choice. I not only recommend these lanterns if your in market for something of this nature, but I also give them my highest recommendation to buy them right here on Amazon. These lanterns in all colors are easy to find on a lot of places online, but I hardly ever come across them anywhere else cheaper than right here. In fact in some cases they are outrageously priced on some web sites, (including Ebay). I suggest you buy these lanterns if you like them as a tea lite, or just for display for either yourself or as a gift, and that you buy them here on Amazon. Really handsome and well made, as well as the best deal around for them I have found...

I ordered these lanterns to be used in my wedding in December. They are exactly what I was looking for and were very cheap but elegant at the same time. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. I thought after the wedding I could resale them and get some of my money back, but after they arrived and I saw them, I decided I'm for sure keeping them for decoration in my home. So, overall, I was VERY pleased with this product.

This lantern is BEAUTIFUL when you put a short strand of white Christmas lights in it! It looks like lightning bugs in a jar! Also it makes cool-looking shadows on the wall from the intricate pattern on the top-especially if it's in a corner, and has a soothing effect. It IS cheaply made, some parts are a little crooked, but it's hard to notice especially if you set it up high on a bookshelf or computer stand like I did. Everyone notices it and asks how much it costs, when I tell them 10 bucks they have a hard time believing me! I'm all for this little lantern, I even sent one to my aunt!

For the price, this lantern cannot be beat. The frame is sturdy and has withstood numerous wind and rainstorms this Spring. The glass is actually colored, not clear with a decal, which is nice. Fits a tea light or short wide candle. Have not tried hanging them so not sure of their sturdiness in that respect.
